Trevor Carter
Funeral and memorial celebrant
I became a celebrant because I want to create and deliver memorable ceremonies that "capture the essence" of the deceased person. I feel this is crucial to helping people through the difficult process of bereavement.
The skills involved are those I have cultivated and honed to a high standard in a variety of professional roles: award-winning poet and storyteller, teacher and trainer. I have also done voluntary work for Bristol Victim Support and Age UK. I love hearing stories, reading stories and writing stories; and every life is a story to tell.
“I thought your speech and the way you delivered it was fantastic
and helped make a difficult day special, thank you”
Glynis Dalton
which may or may not include religious content. I welcome all faiths and none.
My aim is to create a ceremony that accurately reflects the life of the person you have lost,
a ceremony that is all about them in any style you have in mind.
I trained as a celebrant with Humanists UK and am now a member of the
Association of Independent Celebrants.
